Shelley Powell- Multiples Auckland Central

 

Shelley has been treasurer for Multiples Auckland Central and a member of our committee for four years. Over that time she has been a pivotal person for our committee, guiding us on making decisions and giving us perspective on how our club is performing financially. Not only has Shelley brought her strong financial background to her role as treasurer but she’s always been willing to question our direction and come up with new ideas. We’ve really appreciated her challenging our ways of thinking and being willing to give her opinion during meetings. For someone who is holding down a busy full-time job and parenting twin boys she always seems to be able bring clarity of thought – in spite of what might be going on for her at home and work. A lot of what Shelley does goes unnoticed by our members, such as processing payments, filing charities documents and problem solving issues. She has done all this consistently, efficiently and often without thanks during her tenure as treasurer. It’s kept our club ticking nicely over the last few years and provided a platform for our club to try new things, knowing the basics are taken care of.

Jovy Abines- Multiples Canterbury

Jovy only joined the Multiples Canterbury Committee at our AGM in November 2023. We hadn’t had anyone filling our Social Media role for a while and she has certainly wasted no time in making her mark. Her activities to date include: • Undertaking a total refresh of our club Instagram account and started from scratch as it hadn’t been active for a long time. • Promoting club events. • Setting up styles and templates in Canva to give consistent looks across our Facebook and Insta platforms. This has included creating seasonal Facebook page/group covers. • Planned and scheduled an entire week of activity for Multiples Awareness Week across all our social media platforms and stories. This was amazing! • It is not only our own members she is interacting with but also local businesses. She recently attended Nurtured One’s Market and created a Reel post highlighting a few stalls she visited & collaborated using her own IG to get more reach and the post reached over 1.2k! • Currently working on a content calendar that she can share with everyone on the committee. • Arranging giveaways to get more interaction on the posts. • Creating an online generic birthday card to send off to our multiples monthly birthdays (previously we just has a list in our magazine but with that now being quarterly that no longer worked).

Nicola Bell-  Multiples Wellington

 

Nicola is an awesome volunteer for our club. She does a wonderful job sourcing and then sending out to our new members a few treats once their twins are born and then again on their first birthday. She is a real asset to our club.
